1. Kathleen M. O’Malley
Kathleen Patricia McDonald O’Malley, born on November 17, 1956, is a distinguished former United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Her tenure on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit commenced on December 27, 2010, following her appointment by President Barack Obama and subsequent confirmation by the Senate. Prior to her appointment, Judge O’Malley served with distinction for sixteen years as a district judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. After a remarkable career on the bench, the Honorable Kathleen M. O’Malley retired from judicial service on March 11, 2022.
2. John J. McConnell Jr.
John James McConnell Jr., born in 1958, currently serves as the Chief United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. President Barack Obama nominated Judge McConnell for this esteemed position on January 5, 2011. Following Senate confirmation on May 4, 2011, he officially received his commission on May 6, 2011.
3. Maureen Clancy
Judge Maureen E. Clancy presides as a judge of the General Division of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. Her first election to the bench took place on November 2, 2010. Recently, Judge Clancy successfully ran for re-election for the position of judge of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Ohio, securing victory in the general election held on November 8, 2022. Her current term will continue until January 7, 2029.
4. Robert L. Stark
Robert L. Stark, born in 1951, is a prominent American real estate developer and the esteemed founder and chief executive officer of Stark Enterprises. His notable contributions extend beyond the realm of business. Stark has served as the president of Fuchs Mizrachi School, showcasing his dedication to education. Furthermore, he has made significant philanthropic endeavors as the founder of the Safed Foundation and holds the position of vice president at Young Israel of Cleveland.
5. Nan Aron
Nan Aron, born in 1948, is a prominent figure in the field of justice advocacy. As the founder and former president of Alliance for Justice (AFJ), a renowned progressive advocacy organization, she has been at the forefront of advancing justice issues since the establishment of AFJ in 1979. Prior to founding AFJ, Nan served as a staff attorney for the ACLU’s National Prison Project, where she actively challenged conditions within state prison systems through legal actions in federal and state courts. With experience as a trial attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Nan also fought against race and sex discrimination cases, representing the commission in litigation proceedings in both federal and district courts.
6. Michael Turner
Michael Ray Turner, born on January 11, 1960, is an American politician currently serving as the U.S. representative for Ohio’s 10th congressional district since 2003. Prior to his role in Congress, Turner served as the Mayor of Dayton, where he focused on neighborhood revitalization, crime reduction, and economic development. His leadership led to a balanced budget, reduced police response time, and significant investments in housing and job projects, totaling over $19 million. Turner’s dedication to public service has made a positive impact on the Dayton community.
7. Pamela Hanrahan
Dr. Pamela Hanrahan is a distinguished legal professional, renowned legal academic, and accomplished author with expertise in corporate law, corporate governance, financial services regulation, data governance, and business ethics. She is a Professor of Commercial Law and Regulation at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Business School. Dr. Hanrahan is also a Senior Fellow of the Melbourne Centre for Commercial Law at the University of Melbourne, and she has played a pivotal role as the founding director of the Cybersecurity and Data Governance Research Network at UNSW Sydney.
8. Ron Klein
Ronald Jason Klein, born on July 10, 1957, is an accomplished American politician and lawyer. He has previously served as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Florida’s 22nd congressional district. Additionally, Klein holds the position of chair for the Jewish Democratic Council of America. Prior to his congressional tenure, he served in both the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate. Currently, Klein is employed by the esteemed law firm Holland & Knight.
9. Mike Lebowitz
Born on August 21, 1977, in Cleveland, Ohio, Michael J. Lebowitz is a highly regarded attorney based in Washington, D.C. His area of expertise lies in military law and Military Expression. Lebowitz is not only a staunch advocate for veterans’ issues but also a prolific author, having published numerous legal articles on First Amendment matters related to the military, national security, and war crimes. In 2009, Lebowitz assumed the role of prosecutor in the Military Commission for terrorism and war crimes suspects held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
10. Stephanie Jones
Stephanie Tubbs Jones, born on September 10, 1949, was a pioneering American politician. She served as the U.S. representative for Ohio’s 11th congressional district from 1999 until her untimely death in 2008. Tubbs Jones was the first African American woman to be elected to Congress from Ohio and held significant roles, including Chairwoman of the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct for the 110th Congress and a member of the House Ways and Means Committee.
